If we leave the coast behind and head towards the interior of the island, we will discover charming towns and villages, boosting the true Mallorcan character. Llucmajor, Porreres, Algaida ... are just some examples that showcase the authentic rural spirit of Mallorca. However, one of the most recognized attractions of the centre of the island is the rich wine production and its traditional wineries and extensive vineyards. One of the most popular festivals in the area, it is celebrated in the town of Binissalem, known as the “la vermada” (harvest) festival.
